Hans Hsu majored in music at Wesleyan, graduating with the Class of ‘08. He studied music technology at NYU, receiving his Master’s degree with a focus in Tonmeister Studies. He worked in several NY recording studios, engineering, editing and mixing music.
In 2017, he moved to Los Angeles where he now works as a sound designer, post-production mixer and occasional composer. Hans works on a variety of content including short film, documentary, podcast, audio branding/logos and commercials. Clients include National Geographic, Facebook, The North Face, GEICO and Netflix.
Doug Walters is a sound designer, music producer, song-writer, and record label owner.
He studied music composition at Wesleyan University and has been working as a sound and music freelancer for over a decade. He’s written songs for 2 albums that reached Billboard top 15, sound designed an app alert for Zendesk, scored various shows and commercials for major networks and brands, run a boutique recording studio in Hollywood, started a record label, and mixed / sound designed several award-winning festival films.
More recently, Doug has been focused on combining his love of audio with his passion for games - participating in game jams, contributing sound design to indie games, and studying Wwise, Unreal, and Unity.
Dylan Bostick is a music supervisor, composer, and music producer.
For the past 5 years, he’s worked at Heavy Duty Projects, an original music and music supervision company based in Los Angeles and New York. He’s been the lead supervisor on a myriad of advertising projects for brands including Nike, Samsung, Lexus, and many more. He’s worked closely with artists and writers ranging from emerging indie bands to pop hitmakers like Sia, Pusha T and John Legend. In addition to supervising ads, he’s crafted soundtracks for films, video games, and podcasts.
Prior to Heavy Duty, he worked for the advertising music company Human Music and Sound Design as a music editor and sound mixer in their NYC studio. Before getting into the ad music world, he worked in live music, curating and promoting shows at NYC venue Baby’s All Right and for the Bowery Presents.
He graduated from Wesleyan University in 2013 with a double major in Political Science and Italian Studies. Immersed in the campus music scene, he brought major artists to Wesleyan, including Kendrick Lamar, Future Islands, Wu Tang Clan, the Walkmen, Chairlift, Big Freedia, and many more. He also hosted a radio show and was the PR Director for WESU 88.1.
Asli Sonceley is a multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur.
She studied Film and Psychology at Wesleyan University. After graduation she founded two companies. For a decade she serviced tech startups in user experience and user interface design at her own agency. She later turned her focus on environmental organizations like Greenpeace, creating global campaign style guides for forests, oceans, plastic pollution, and indigenous rights.
Asli recently returned to art full time. She participates in artist residencies, focusing on themes of mental health and environmental health. She works from her home studio in Los Angeles.
Westracker is a community of Wes alumni who support each other's career development in creative industries. It was formed by the graduates of the Film Studies department in Los Angeles. Over the years the group has expanded to include alumni from various majors who have pursued a path in film and entertainment.
Asli Sonceley ('08) and Andrew Dominguez ('12) are currently managing this group with a little help from volunteers.
